Just finished a rainy day game at AT&T park where the Giants got something like 5 singles in a row in the 7th to takedown the Washington Nationals 5-4 and win the series 2-1. It's been a Nationals kinda week for BSG, so we figured we'd the keep the ball rolling with a little pre-game stance discussion with the MASN crew. Enjoy!

BSG recently dropped by the Versus studios to talk about his new book, A Love Letter to Baseball, with The Daily Line. We are truly flattered that they call this a "profession," but we're gonna stick by our tagline. So checkout the roundtable discussion, and, of course, some stances for the people.

To say BSG was "at" ESPN today, might be something of an understatement. He was all over it for book release day. The good folks in Bristol, CT took care of our boy all day long as he stopped by First Take, ESPNEWS, SportsNation, and SportsCenter with John Kruk. These are still airing in various fashions on the Worldwide Leader, so check their schedule now. We've captured the day in image form on the facebook fanpage, and you can checkout the online SportsNation chat here. And there are still SportsCenter broadcasts to come. Whew, what a day.

Well folks we're just 5 days out from Opening Day, and we hope you're as excited as BSG is for the start of the season. Thankfully, the offseason gave him a chance to heal from leg injuries incurred while imitating San Francisco Giant Eugenio Velez. A word to the wise, stretch first. Filmed last year for G-Mag, here's BSG with Velez, the Panda, and the rest of the feel-good 09 Giants. Enjoy!

If the Rangers catch the Red Sox in the AL wildcard race this year, you can bet this guy will play a major part. We're certainly pulling for him. So to get you Rangers fans in the right state-of-mind (cause we know Texans have confidence issues) here's a look back at Josh Hamilton's 1st ever MLB walk-off HR from July 10, 2008 against the division rival Angels. Enjoy!

There comes a point in a man's life when he has to be comfortable with big, athletic, grown men vigorously stretching in a circle around him while he does goofy little impressions of them and their colleagues for amusement. The court jester lives by one rule: keep the court laughing. Fortunately for us the Rockies all have pretty good senses of humor. Whew. Enjoy!

One is a National League All-Star and the reigning Homerun Derby champ, the other, a 36 yr old balding man with a wiffle ball bat. It's a showdown for the ages as Batting Stance Guy goes head to head with the Milwaukee Brewer's Prince Fielder in the first ever "Swing-Off!" And if you haven't seen Prince do his thing before, we gotta tell you, you're in for a treat. The other guy, well.. you know.

In honor of BSG's trip to Milwaukee and his stance showdown with NL All-Star and homerun derby champ, Prince Fielder, we thought we'd take a look back at the slugger's monster walk-off HR against the Pittsburgh Pirates from late September of last year. This at-bat by the man with the most jersey in baseball spurred the Brewers on to their first playoff appearance in 26 years, and gave us all a glimpse of what a major league gut looks like. yikes. Enjoy!

Remember when times were simpler? When big, red-bearded men could hit ludicrous amounts of home-runs late in their careers and nobody said boo? Sighhhhhhh. Thanks for the memories big mac. We hope this one takes everyone back as well, cause if nothing else, it was a whole lotta fun. Enjoy!

The winner of this week's video poll, and the first of many FSN/BSG Classic Moments we'll be sharing with you here on the site, is none other than the Kirk Gibson's game winning HR off Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. It's all there folks, the Magnum PI staches, the fist pumps, Tommy Lasorda's gut, it's really just as good as it gets. To make things extra fun, we've included the original footage. See if you can tell em apart. Here's a hint, in the real game they used a ball. Enjoy!

The year was 2008, it was early September, the race for the presidency was heating up, Manny was still settling in in L.A., a Rays/Phillies Series seemed unlikely, and a little known man with a wiffle ball bat was making his rounds through the pre-game shows of so-cal baseball. Alot has changed since BSG's appearance on FSN's Angels Live, but the wiffle ball bat is still going strong. Enjoy some footage from the archives.
