Best 3 New NL Batting Stances

Nothing makes me happier than seeing Anthony Rizzo, Andrew McCutchen and Colby Rasmus switch their batting stances to something more funky. However, there are 3 players I hadn’t seen in majors before this season. They are the NL’s finest and need to be celebrated. Thank you, Dodgers, Brewers and Reds for employing these gems. MLB […]

MLB Week in Review: 9/19/11

Sure, it’s college football season. But we don’t care about that here at BSG Inc. However, if Kirk Gibson’s original team clinches a postseason berth and team he manages is on the cusp of postseason berth….well…then MLB Week in Review must be conducted from a college football game! 2010 Reds

Just to prove that we haven't forgotten our roots now that we're big time published authors, today we continue on with our team "preview" series.  We'll kick things off with the Reds, who, as BSG notes, haven't seen a winning season since 2000.  But things are looking up in Cincy these days, and partially thanks to the stance magic of Brandon Phillips, the Reds currently find themselves only a game back of the mighty Cardinals.  In a preview that takes an equal look at fertility and baseball, here are the 2010 Reds.  Enjoy!

Paul O’Neill’s Punt

Steve Jeltz still can't believe he stayed on third for this one.  Still gotta be one of the best game sheet paragraphs of all time.  Straight from the baseball bloopers Hall of Fame, it's Paul O'Neill's 1989 left-footed punt to the infield.  Enjoy.
