Hey BSG. I was wondering if you could do the 2010 mariner lineup. I have been mimicking stances since i was five. I would do the stance as the player batted, and do a batting stance and have my parents guess who it was.
Thanks
JJ
Thanks
JJ

Hi Gar,
Well this may be a first...a message from Merry Old England!! London to be precise.
Anyway, long story short, fell in love with a Missouri girl a year ago. Now a Cardinals fan. Always loved the tradition and fan allegiance that is passed down through generations of the same family. Similar to soccer here in that sense.
Great Pujols impression! Will be buying the book very soon.
Best Wishes,
David.

dear BSG:
word of mouth is great, isn't it?
this is essentially a fan mail, i guess, but i don't know where else to put it.
we first heard about you last year, in this small world of ours-- (where my friend has a brother, who lives in pasadena, who i guess kind of knows you.) so we watched clips on youtube, and my husband laughed til he cried, (which is not common) because he loves baseball more than anyone i know. i knew he loved baseball when i married him; our road-trip honeymoon included visiting the ballparks in every city that we were in from the west coast to the east, but i didn't fully realize what "baseball-widowdom" would mean, (haha!) and 13 years later, i can confess i still don't get it, but i try to understand.
his coaching little league the past few years offers him joys that his corporate job doesn't give him, but:
what i wanted to tell you: was that when i saw your book at the bookstore, i walked over and read him the introduction... didn't even get past the 2nd paragraph with you name dropping your pete rose and gary carter halloween costumes, and he's giggling incredulously, saying "Come'on, you're kiddin' me, no one dressed up like gary carter" and i said "no. look, there's even pictures", so i show him. and i read on to the third paragraph, where you talk about your baseball card drafts and line-ups as a kid, and he is now laughing uncontrollably. in the bookstore. doubled over, with tears. because he knows all those names. no one he knows knows all those names. by the time we get to the last paragraph, with you dropping ALL the names of the guys who didn't make the book, he's beside himself. we haven't even gotten thru the first chapter yet, but
what i wanted to say was:
THANK YOU for the laughter. and i look forward to more of it.
sincerely,
rachel nyssen

Hi Gar, you owe Murph and Mac from KNBR in San Francisco a big pink box (of donuts). Because of them, and their interviewing of you, I purchased your book. I must say that I am glad I did. My 11 yr old son and I have been cracking up all weekend - the text is funny as well as the photos. Good job all around. I would recommend the book for any fan of yours.

Gar-I love your impressions. PLEASE go to a Cardinals game. I know last year you went and the video was stolen so we never got to see it. Can you go back this year?????
