A “singing” penalty for relief pitchers, required tweets from scoring position, gifts from the crowd… at first base; these are just a few of the gems BSG tossed to the crowd. Coming off an evening that saw the National League win it’s first All-Star Game since 1996, New York Times national baseball reporter, Tyler Kepner might want to change his answer on “story of the year” in Major League Baseball, but we’ll cut him a break on that one. BSG is much less merciful with Tyler as he does his annual Mid-Season Report with a Reputable Reporter… for the first time. It’s more BSG from the 2010 All-Star game in Anaheim. Enjoy!

Just as no good U2 concert ends without a rendition of “With or Without You”, there have been few appearances in the last year for BSG that haven’t involved a Kevin Youkilis swing. Back in February BSG took a trip down to Florida to visit with the Red Sox at spring training and got some face time with the man with the best stance in baseball.
