We got a good one going in Detroit folks. Yesterday the Twins and Tigers split the doubleheader to keep the Tigers 2 up. Today they start the 2nd half of their 4-game series at Comerica. The evening win for the Tigers yesterday was thanks in large part to a 2 run scoring double from a guy who’s done it before for em. Have a look at the shot Magglio Ordonez hit in the 2006 ALCS to sweep the A’s and take the Tigers to their first World Series in over 20 years.

The Twins are in this thing folks. Their race with Detroit looks to be the only divisional battle left to watch down the stretch. BSG was recently in the land of 1,000 lakes to entertain the Twins and enjoy the hospitality at the Minnesota State Fair. Last night’s rain-out only mounts the tension for what should be a dynamite double-header today at Comerica Park. Yesterday we got you Tigers fans in the mood with Verlander’s heroics. Today we’re here for the Twins’ fans with perhaps the greatest moment in your franchise’s history, and the last time you were in the World Series. Enjoy all the action in motown today folks.

Tonight the Twins and Tigers kick-off a four game series in Detroit that will most likely decide the AL Central. With neither team in wild card contention, the stakes are high. The good people of motown gotta feel good about this one being a home series. Tomorrow night, they’ll feel even better if Justin Verlander has an outing like June 12th, 2007. Friday, I was in Knoxville, TN when I received an email from the Minnesota Twins’ TV station FSN North. They requested I make an appearance on their pregame show. They simply said, be at the Dome, that Monday at 3pm….and bring your Hrbek jersey.
