The Minnesota Twins opened up Target Field with a bang yesterday, beating the Red Sox 5-2 and ushering in the open-air era. The end of the Metrodome has BSG wondering though; are these still the loveable, blue-collar Twins of old? One things for sure, with Mauer, Morneau, Nathan, and now Jim Thome, the Twins have the star-power, and perhaps the swagger, to make some noise in the AL this year. Enjoy!

The Twins are in this thing folks. Their race with Detroit looks to be the only divisional battle left to watch down the stretch. BSG was recently in the land of 1,000 lakes to entertain the Twins and enjoy the hospitality at the Minnesota State Fair. We’re not saying the visit had anything to do with their current success, but hey it couldn’t of hurt right? Right? Bert Blyleven, this is all for you.

Last night’s rain-out only mounts the tension for what should be a dynamite double-header today at Comerica Park. Yesterday we got you Tigers fans in the mood with Verlander’s heroics. Today we’re here for the Twins’ fans with perhaps the greatest moment in your franchise’s history, and the last time you were in the World Series. Enjoy all the action in motown today folks.

Friday, I was in Knoxville, TN when I received an email from the Minnesota Twins’ TV station FSN North. They requested I make an appearance on their pregame show. They simply said, be at the Dome, that Monday at 3pm….and bring your Hrbek jersey.
