Sure, it’s college football season. But we don’t care about that here at BSG Inc. However, if Kirk Gibson’s original team clinches a postseason berth and team he manages is on the cusp of postseason berth….well…then MLB Week in Review must be conducted from a college football game! It’s the Week in Review! www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: [...]

Ten years since that terrible day. This Week in Review contains a team unable to repeat, and future phenom arriving and two Twin HRs saving a Tigers life on 9/11/01. It’s the Week in Review! www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: @BattingStanceG

MLB is king, but every once in a while you must drink from the Minor League Baseball chalice. The time has come for central California’s Visalia Rawhide. Drink up America. aaaahhhhh www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: @BattingStanceG

Weird week where games were rained out, teams lost huge leads, NellieCruz out RBI’d most teams, and Hirshbeck got drilled in his Area 51 while Roberto Alomar simultaneously gave his Hall of Fame induction speech. Well, what’s weirder than an UFO Observation Deck in rural Colorado? Exactly. That’s the setting for The Week in Review! [...]

For years, folks in Atlanta, New York, Texas & Kansas City have wondered what Jeff Francoeur would do if he he saw a facial imitation of himself. These folks finally have their answer. www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: @BattingStanceG

Yeah, there were no-hitters. Big deal. It’s all about Eric Hosmer this week. Week in Review, Hosmer Nation. www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: @BattingStanceG

Hockey playoff OTs, MLB Team Seizures & Trailblazer 4th quarter comebacks, even He is Risen, He is Risen, Indeed won’t derail BSG’s Week in Review. A carnival of appropriately themed jerseys & shirts will help focus the conversation. It’s a beautiful day at the ballpark. Beautiful day for a Week in Review. Twitter: @BattingStanceG

Massive panic in Boston, Houston, and Minnesota. Here, we focus on the positive, i.e., what caught my eye this week. You’ll hear about the greatest reaction I’ve received to an imitation, yet. It’s the Week in Review! www.BattingStanceGuy.com Twitter: @BattingStanceG

Baseball is back. A week and a half of baseball is in the books. Each week we’ll bring you the three things you missed. Want professionals in suits talking to you? Well, you know where to find them. I speak for the people, the downtrodden, the nerds. Those that love baseball so much they failed [...]

The regular season has ended. Already?! One must focus on the last week in order to know what is next. – ancient Chinese sage once said. Well we do that here. Playoffs are set. Records were attained. Even The Hoff will be referenced. It’s the Week in Review!
27. September 2010
Only one week remains in the 2010 MLB regular season. What player is crossing their name off the saddest list in baseball? I won’t give you any hints. It’s the Week in Review…….. from Michael Young’s High School.

The Cleveland Indians introduced Jason Donald to the loyal Tribe faithful in 2010. His lasting image is holding his helmet with both hands at utter shock of breaking up Galarraga’s perfect game. Rookie Watch highlights the bad smell of that play….surrounded by bad smells. Too bad YouTube doesn’t employ a scratch n’ sniff screen. Rookie Watch 2010!
8. September 2010
Brennan Boesch raced out to the hottest start in the AL for 2010 rookies. He has since come back to earth but is leading the Tigers in jersey sales and quirky swing follow-thru’s. Both important. Rookie Watch salutes BB.

Coming to you from the back alleys of Angel Stadium and the All-Star Game FanFest, it’s Batting Stance Guy chatting it up with 2-time Cy Young winner and the 1985 Kansas City Royals’ World Series MVP, Bret Saberhagen. Find out everything you always wanted to know about the former all-star, but were afraid to ask, as BSG gets his take on beaning, stances, and “odd-year” success. Enjoy! ![]()

How many weeks into the season will calling these things previews start to sound ridiculous? We gotta be getting close. Man how bout that game 2 last night Cleveland? You need an elbow repair STAT! Here’s hoping the good people of Cleveland still have several weeks left of pulling for the Cavs. Oh, and not completely unrelated to that, here are the 2010 Indians. Enjoy!
30. April 2010
BSG’s worries that Magglio Ordonez stored his mojo in his jheri curl mullet were calmed yesterday as Mags got his 2,000th career hit in a win over the Twins. Those two seemed to have picked back up right where they left off last year in the AL Central, which should mean another fun battle for all of us. BSG likes the Detroit lineup, and, like the rest of the world, thinks the Damon addition will probably help. But he still misses that jheri curl. Enjoy!

If there’s a better collection of stances in MLB this year, BSG can’t find it. In fact he dares you, nay, DOUBLE-DOG dares you to name a better group of batter’s box antics than what they have going on in Chicago this season. The 2010 White Sox are just loaded; Quentin, Beckham, Pierre, Konerko, Alexei, Teahen, Vizquel, the list goes on and on. So here they are, your 2010 White Sox. Enjoy!
13. April 2010
The Minnesota Twins opened up Target Field with a bang yesterday, beating the Red Sox 5-2 and ushering in the open-air era. The end of the Metrodome has BSG wondering though; are these still the loveable, blue-collar Twins of old? One things for sure, with Mauer, Morneau, Nathan, and now Jim Thome, the Twins have the star-power, and perhaps the swagger, to make some noise in the AL this year. Enjoy!
14. December 2009
There might be something lost in translation as BSG takes on the sheer physical specimen that was Bo Jackson, but you get the idea, Bo knows how to break a bat.
30. September 2009
We got a good one going in Detroit folks. Yesterday the Twins and Tigers split the doubleheader to keep the Tigers 2 up. Today they start the 2nd half of their 4-game series at Comerica. The evening win for the Tigers yesterday was thanks in large part to a 2 run scoring double from a guy who’s done it before for em. Have a look at the shot Magglio Ordonez hit in the 2006 ALCS to sweep the A’s and take the Tigers to their first World Series in over 20 years.
