BSG vs. Prince Fielder

BSG vs. Prince Fielder

One is a National League All-Star and the reigning Homerun Derby champ, the other, a 36 yr old balding man with a wiffle ball bat.  It’s a showdown for the ages as Batting Stance Guy goes head to head with the Milwaukee Brewer’s Prince Fielder in the first ever “Swing-Off!”  And if you haven’t seen Prince do his thing before, we gotta tell you, you’re in for a treat.  The other guy, well.. you know.

BSG’s Who to Watch: NL East

Welcome to the first of our new semi-weekly series, BSG’s Who to Watch! So we’ll be breaking down a different batch of hitters each week, starting with the NL East. Enjoy!

McGwire #62

McGwire #62

Remember when times were simpler? When big, red-bearded men could hit ludicrous amounts of home-runs late in their careers and nobody said boo? Sighhhhhhh. Thanks for the memories big mac. We hope this one takes everyone back as well, cause if nothing else, it was a whole lotta fun. Enjoy!

Gibson vs Eckersley

Gibson vs Eckersley

The winner of this week’s video poll, and the first of many FSN/BSG Classic Moments we’ll be sharing with you here on the site, is none other than the Kirk Gibson’s game winning HR off Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series.  It’s all there folks, the Magnum PI staches, the fist pumps, Tommy Lasorda’s gut, it’s really just as good as it gets.  To make things extra fun, we’ve included the original footage.  See if you can tell em apart.  Here’s a hint, in the real game they used a ball.  Enjoy!

Not to be outdone, BSG decided to take a short break from the big leagues to tackle the best stances from the silver screen. A tip to all you production researchers out there, make sure to get a handle on Shoeless Joe Jackson’s left/right switch before putting Ray Liotta at the plate. Enjoy!
