While the Marlins attempt to peddle their All-Star 2nd baseman, we take a look back at one of the moments that helped make him such a valuable commodity.

Chris Johnson joined the 2,000 club yesterday. Congrats, but Nolan’s number was bigger, and his club is still more exclusive.

The ground’s crew was happy the Cardinals won the game, they just wished it could’ve happened on a different night.

Remember when the Pirates’ went to 3 consecutive NLCS’s… and lost all 3? In 1992, this Francisco Cabrera pinch-hit single ended that run, the Bonds era in Pittsburgh, and the Pirates’ relevance in major league baseball for the next 2 decades. Quite a hit. Enjoy!

There might be something lost in translation as BSG takes on the sheer physical specimen that was Bo Jackson, but you get the idea, Bo knows how to break a bat.
11. December 2009
Steve Jeltz still can’t believe he stayed on third for this one. Still gotta be one of the best game sheet paragraphs of all time. Straight from the baseball bloopers Hall of Fame, it’s Paul O’Neill’s 1989 left-footed punt to the infield. Enjoy.

What better way to celebrate the season than with the candy-striped 86 Astros and the “Greatest Game Ever Played.” You keep that ball fair Billy Hatcher.
9. December 2009
It’s December, the winter meetings are in full swing, and BSG is back! We’re kicking off a holiday run of FSN moments with everyone’s favorite Mad Hungarian, Al Hrabosky. Enjoy!

Postseason heroics from Spiezio and the Angels.

Garrett Anderson sets the Angels’ single-game RBI record.

We got a good one going in Detroit folks. Yesterday the Twins and Tigers split the doubleheader to keep the Tigers 2 up. Today they start the 2nd half of their 4-game series at Comerica. The evening win for the Tigers yesterday was thanks in large part to a 2 run scoring double from a guy who’s done it before for em. Have a look at the shot Magglio Ordonez hit in the 2006 ALCS to sweep the A’s and take the Tigers to their first World Series in over 20 years.
30. September 2009
The Twins are in this thing folks. Their race with Detroit looks to be the only divisional battle left to watch down the stretch. BSG was recently in the land of 1,000 lakes to entertain the Twins and enjoy the hospitality at the Minnesota State Fair. We’re not saying the visit had anything to do with their current success, but hey it couldn’t of hurt right? Right? Bert Blyleven, this is all for you.

Last night’s rain-out only mounts the tension for what should be a dynamite double-header today at Comerica Park. Yesterday we got you Tigers fans in the mood with Verlander’s heroics. Today we’re here for the Twins’ fans with perhaps the greatest moment in your franchise’s history, and the last time you were in the World Series. Enjoy all the action in motown today folks.
28. September 2009
Tonight the Twins and Tigers kick-off a four game series in Detroit that will most likely decide the AL Central. With neither team in wild card contention, the stakes are high. The good people of motown gotta feel good about this one being a home series. Tomorrow night, they’ll feel even better if Justin Verlander has an outing like June 12th, 2007. BSG is here to help your remember it.

We’re gonna go out on a limb and say the Dodgers take the NL West. So to help get folks in a LA state of mind for the postseason, here’s a little gem from 2006. Back to Back to Back to Back, and then Nomar walked off. Sure, only Martin remains, but we think this bunch still has what it takes. Enjoy!

So we know things aren’t looking great right now Milwaukee. But at least your players still have a good sense of humor. Here’s the rest of the warm up circle entertainment. Enjoy!
22. September 2009
So we’re not gonna lie, with BSG being based outta LA, a Dodgers/Angles World Series has a nice ring to it. So to help things along, this week we’ll be taking a look at some classic moments in both teams’ histories. Today, we’re leading off with the Jim Edmonds 1997 marvel known simply to Angels fans as, “The Catch.” Niners fans, take no offense, we still love Dwight Clark too. Enjoy!
18. September 2009
You know who we love, the Milwaukee Brewers. And we’re not gonna lie, we’re pretty sure the feeling is mutual. Check it out as BSG goes on the field at Miller Park for a little pre-game entertainment in the warm-up circle. Enjoy!
