TRANSLATE VIDEO AND WIN A SIGNED COPY OF THE BSG BOOK!!
The other week BSG made an appearance on the LA-based Japanese network, UTB Hollywood. He had a great time, and the segment looks wonderful, but our Japanese is, well… rusty. Sure we could use Google Translate, but we thought we’d turn to the BSG community to help us out. Yesterday BSG made a media assault on the Bay Area, visiting most every sports broadcasting crew in SF to talk about his new book, A Love Letter to Baseball. He started the day off with KNBR 680 and our good friends at the Murph and Mac Show. You’re probably thinking that batting stances don’t play that well on the radio, and you wouldn’t be wrong. Thankfully they had the wherewithal to take some video. P.S. if you get the chance to visit, they like the chocolate old-fashioned’s. Enjoy!

Just finished a rainy day game at AT&T park where the Giants got something like 5 singles in a row in the 7th to takedown the Washington Nationals 5-4 and win the series 2-1. It’s been a Nationals kinda week for BSG, so we figured we’d the keep the ball rolling with a little pre-game stance discussion with the MASN crew. Enjoy!

BSG will be in the San Francisco Bay Area tomorrow (more on that later) where the Giants are currently taking on Ryan Zimmerman and the Washington Nationals. The Rangers looked good in their first test against prominent division rivals, the Oakland A’s, winning the series this week 2-1. And as they head up to Toronto today to challenge the mighty Blue Jays, BSG takes a look at what makes this such a great stance team. With the Angels on the decline, C.J. Wilson getting things done on the mound, and Hamilton, Kinsler, and Cruz at the plate, might this be the year the Rangers add a 2nd win to their postseason journal? Just to prove that we haven’t forgotten our roots now that we’re big time published authors, today we continue on with our team “preview” series. We’ll kick things off with the Reds, who, as BSG notes, haven’t seen a winning season since 2000. But things are looking up in Cincy these days, and partially thanks to the stance magic of Brandon Phillips, the Reds currently find themselves only a game back of the mighty Cardinals. To say BSG was “at” ESPN today, might be something of an understatement. He was all over it for book release day. The good folks in Bristol, CT took care of our boy all day long as he stopped by First Take, ESPNEWS, SportsNation, and SportsCenter with John Kruk. These are still airing in various fashions on the Worldwide Leader, so check their schedule now. From the way things have started out there, whoever comes outta the NL West this year is gonna have to win a fight. Will it be the Rockies? Gammonds and Reynolds like em, but does BSG? He got an inside look at the rocky mountain boys last year, but, as usual, it’s the lineup that interests him most.
